Nathaniel Blackburn

Founder & Executive Director

Nathaniel was born in Virginia and attended Virginia Military Institute. His senior year he was cast on MTV’s The Real World which led him to Hollywood where he worked as an actor in film and television. In Hollywood he chased fame and notoriety only to find himself in the grip of his mental illness. He moved to Colorado hoping a change of scenery would help and for the next ten years he suffered in his addiction. After losing everything and everyone he surrendered and asked God into his life. Nathaniel is now in long term recovery from alcoholism and addiction and has worked professionally in mental health since 2015. During that time he went back to school and devoted his life to helping men of faith deepen their relationship with God. He now lives in Dallas with his wife and they recently welcomed twins in their family.

Kamiar Duck

Kami, attended his first retreat in October of 2022 and thereafter became an active volunteer.  Having experienced his own walk with Christ in addition to witnessing God at work through the lives of men, he remains committed to the mission and the importance of giving God space to intercede in our lives.  Prior to assuming the Chair position, he helped serve the ministry as an advisory and intercessory prayer member.  He brings more than 15 years of business and philanthropy experience.

He began his career with MoneyGram International, a billion dollar publicly held company and leader in the global money transfer remittance business as a Financial Analyst in 2011.  His first significant leadership role was conducting worldwide month-end close meetings between FP&A and Accounting.  He was responsible for managing over $60 million in expenses and provided expense planning and forecasting support for than 30 senior executives.  During his tenure, he helped develop and implement a methodology to better predict turnover for over $1 billion in accounts receivables and $4 billion in payment service obligations.  He also assisted investor relations with quarterly earnings preparations including the press release, call script, and sell side analyst projection schedules.

In 2014, he joined an affiliate of publicly held Mammoth Energy Services, a fully integrated infrastructure and oilfield services business, as a Senior Account and Assistant Controller.  During his tenure, he assisted with the company’s $116 million initial public offering by providing financial data and operating analytics for S1 filings.  He was responsible for managing FP&A and Accounting for two of the portfolio subsidiaries which totaled over $20 million in annual revenue.  Relative to the industry downturn, he constructed and presented several cost savings scenarios which led to executive approval for shifting business operations regionally.

In 2017, he Co-founded Cade Energy Partners, an oil & gas brokerage company, followed by Cade Capital Group, a private investment company in 2021.  He has been a yearly volunteer for the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and the Byron Nelson golf tournament which benefits the Momentous Institute that provides accessible mental health services for youth and their families.

Kamiar is an undergraduate of the Sam Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.  He earned his Master in Business Administration from the University of Dallas graduating with honors.  He lives in Dallas with his loving wife, Nicole, and their two sons, Jason and James.  Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, golf, traveling, and cooking.
